Requirements

  • Obsidian App
  • GPT-3 Plugin

Why Obsidian ?

Obsidian.md is a powerful note-taking and knowledge management tool that uses a powerful and intuitive Markdown syntax. It allows users to create notes, organize them into folders, link notes together, and create internal and external links. It also has an advanced search function, which allows users to quickly find information and references.

Guide

1. First, you will need to create Open Ai account

  • Sign up - OpenAI APIhttps://openai.com › join

  • Easily Sign Up with Google Account

  • Choose Your Google Account ( if you have many like me 😂 )

Download Obsidian

  • Mobile Version or Desktop version (both work fine)
  • For iOS - Download Here
  • For Android - Download Here
  • For Mac - Download Here
  • For Window - Download Here

Setting Up Obsidian

  • If you are fresh new user, you need to create a Vault ( which is a folder but Vault sound cool )

  • Choose A cool name or desire name you want to give

  • Then Choose A Place to store, it could be anywhere ( for me I save in my iCloud Folder to get sync across all my device for free. 😉

  • Okay Now Time To Install GPT-3 Plugin First go to Setting

  • Go to Community Plugin

  • And turn On the Community Plugin

  • Now time to browse the community plugin

  • Type → GPT in the search box and you will see Text Generator

  • Just install

    Image

Let’s Getting Api Key

  • Tap on the profile picture of your Open Ai Account

  • Click On View API Key

    Image

  • Create New Secret Key

    Image

  • There you will get your secret API Key → Copy that codes and Let’s Go back to Obsidian

Configuring Plugin

  • Enable The Plugin if you haven’t Already

  • After Enable you will see options

  • Paste the API key you copied earlier

  • If you like to get longer text result adjust the Max Tokens I personally like 500 (you can increase or decrease)

Time To Test

  • Type whatever the result you want and Click on Generate Button or you can use keyboard Shortcut like Ctrl+J on windows and Command+J on mac
  • Small six dot animating mean it is generating
  • Enjoy Creating Content with GPT 3
